PARTNER EVENT: Our Footprint Forward

400 Years Since Jamestown SAVE THE DATE Resilience.jpg

This historic event beckons your involvement!
We are a strong and mighty people.

The African American’s journey to “now” is remarkable with a vast cultural footprint. This year denotes 400 years since the first documented enslaved Africans arrived in Jamestown, Virginia. Just think about it. We have collectively survived 400 years of struggle to success, with determination and dedication, and will continue our positive footprint into the future. We owe much to our ancestors, to ourselves, and to future generations.

Join us as we celebrate OUR FOOTPRINT FORWARD, an online forum, Thursday, August 8, 2019, 6:30pm to 8:30pm. This free online discussion with a panel of experts, is a salute to film, history, and music. (Details TBA - save the date and plan to host a watch party)

A special feature of this celebration includes signature footprint murals, saluting African American women. We invite you to sponsor a signature footprint, learn more and register for the event HERE. This benefit event supports the ongoing work of BlackFemaleProject, a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization.
