DECEMBER 2026 Wellness Resources

December has a way of asking us to pause. Before we rush toward the new year, we're given an opportunity to reflect on where we've been, who has walked beside us, and the spaces that have helped us grow. During a season often centered on giving, we can also remember the importance of receiving—receiving care, encouragement, rest, and the reminder that we were never meant to do life alone.

Myisha D. Steward offers a vision that feels especially fitting for this time of year: "Let us create spaces where self-discovery blooms, and where every Black woman is held, heard, and uplifted." Healing doesn't happen in isolation. It happens when we are surrounded by people who make room for our joy, our grief, our questions, and our becoming. Whether through friendship, family, affinity spaces, or chosen community, being fully seen can remind us of our own worth.

As you close out this year, consider not only what you've accomplished, but who helped you become the person you are today. These December Resources celebrate community, self-discovery, and rest. Enter the new year knowing that you deserve spaces where you can simply be.

REFLECTION QUESTIONs:

As you reflect on this year, who helped you feel most like yourself? How did they create space for you to grow?

What kind of community do you want to cultivate in the year ahead—and what role do you hope to play within it?

What is one part of yourself you hope to carry forward into the new year, and what is one thing you're ready to leave behind?
