PROGRAMS

BlackFemaleProject collects stories, brings women together, and provides resources that support professional and personal well-being. We curate offerings for Black women to share and hear their experiences reflected.

  • Inaugural Stories

In 2014, we started gathering examples of how structural racism and sexism play out in the workplace. We realized that by studying how Black women have survived in this post-affirmative action era, we can empower the next generation to thrive.

  • Teacher Truth Collection

Teacher Truth is a story collection project centered on identifying, engaging, listening to, documenting, and uplifting the voices of Black educators. The first installment of the series is focused on educators in the state of California.

  • Covid Collection

As a story-based initiative, we know the importance of archiving the journey. So, we put out a call to our community to share with us their reflections on what the COVID-19 pandemic has meant for them.

  • Our Community Spotlights

Our Member Spotlights shine a light on the phenomenal women who are moved to donate monetary support to BlackFemaleProject in addition to sharing their presence and voice with us.
