February 2024 Wellness Resources

As Black women, our identities are inevitably intersectional and unique. While our needs and desires are often unacknowledged by mainstream narratives and systems of power, our self-advocacy and ability to identify solutions benefit all people. When we address the barriers that present roadblocks for us, we lay the foundation for better conditions and experiences for others.

Ellie Tumbuan, our dear friend and advisor, invests her time and energy into BlackFemaleProject because she understands this dynamic. She knows that—even though she’s not a Black woman herself—our work to create a world where Black women can show up as our full selves also benefits her ability to thrive, too. This Black History Month, may we  remember how the power in Black women healing ourselves also heals the world. Ellie’s Member Spotlight and our other February resources can help ground you in this truth.
