OCTOBER 2026 Wellness Resources
Autumn reminds us that we can hold many things at once. Trees let go of their leaves while their roots continue to grow. The days become quieter, yet the season is rich with color. Nature embraces change as part of becoming.
The same is true for us. April Fenall reflects that she is surrounded by women who are "doers, that are healthy, that are strong and unapologetic, and at the same time vulnerable." Black women are often expected to fit into a single narrative: resilient, unwavering, endlessly capable. But our lives are far more nuanced than that. We can be bold and gentle. We can lead confidently while remaining open to support. We can hold boundaries and deep connections. Every layer of who we are deserves to be honored.
This October, allow yourself to embrace the fullness of your identity without feeling pressured to simplify it for anyone else's comfort. Our October Resources explore vulnerability, grounding, and healthy boundaries, reminding us that authenticity isn't about choosing one version of ourselves. It's about making room for all of them.
RESOURCES FOR THRIVING
SONG OF THE MONTH
REFLECTION QUESTIONs:
Where in your life can you be more vulnerable?
What parts of yourself have you hidden to be perceived as strong? What would it look like to embrace those parts of yourself?
What parts of yourself do you want to nurture as you continue to grow this year?
