Black Educators Night Out

  • Plank 98 Broadway Oakland, CA, 94607 United States (map)

Event Description

BlackFemaleProject’s Teacher Truth initiative and Black Teacher Project — both nonprofits serving Black educators in the Bay Area — have united to partner in hosting our 3rd annual Black Educators’ Night Out. This event collaboration has grown out of our shared commitment to celebrate and honor Black educators’ success, joy, and well-being.

This event will be an evening of music, dancing, food, drinks, wellness activities, and more to express our appreciation for the unique gifts Black educators show up with everyday in support of our students and communities. There will be free bowling, ping pong, pool, and raffle entry for a fun and memorable night. Participants will gather to relax, mingle, reflect, and laugh in this curated Black affinity space.

Black Educators’ Night Out supports Black educators’ mental health and wellness by providing:

  • an intentional space of appreciation

  • curated wellness activations and joyful activities;

  • resources for professional and personal development;

  • affinity fellowship with other Black educators and community members; and more!
