Reflections: Wine Women Win

In celebration of Women’s History Month, BlackFemaleProject joined TAP Wine Lounge for their monthly event, Wine Women Win which invites Black women business owners and other locals to learn about services, resources, potential partnerships, and more while enjoying wine and networking. 

We opened and grounded the evening with an unWINE moment grounded in breath and movement led by BlackFemaleProject. The theme for March was Honor a Female in your life and throughout the evening we invited attendees to share a brief story about someone who inspires them. A full program of local initiatives and businesses shared announcements about upcoming events and opportunities around community, financial awareness, and youth development. 

It was an honor for us to participate in this event as a partner and connect women in the Sacramento area with our work as well as the other businesses like Savvy Wizdoom, the Honey Steppers, and Next Legacy Builders. Vegan cookies and craft your own charcuterie snacks were provided by Taste & See Vegan Desserts and Sweet Expressions. 

As our organization grows, we embrace the opportunity to expand our footprint and connect with Black women beyond the Bay Area. Thank you to Cynthia and the team at TAP Wine Lounge for the warm welcome and great event!
